Course Description
1 Series A Credit -This course will inform the student of residential code requirements and good building practices which lead to quality energy efficient construction. The student will learn provisions of the energy code that affect decisions of which equipment to install and mandatory control settings for that equipment. Residential mechanical code requirements for proper system component selection and installation will be discussed. Reasons for the code requirements will be presented along with important things mechanical installers need to know about other trades and parts of the building in order for the whole building to function efficiently and safely.
