Lead Safe Renovation, Repair & Painting Course (RRP)

For anyone who does work for compensation on homes or child occupied facilities built prior to 1978. Under new EPA rules, contractors performing work that disturbs paint in homes built prior to 1978 must be certified in lead safe work practices. This course meets part of the requirement for EPA Lead Paint Renovator training.

In addition to this 5 hour online course, there is a 3 hour hands-on lead paint training course that must be completed to get your certification. During this 3 hour hands-on training course, you will also be expected to pass an exam based on the information you learn from both the online course and the hands-on course. Once both portions (5 hour online & 3 hour hands-on) of this class are complete, 8 continuing education credits will be submitted to the CCB.

The 3 Hour Course is only offered in Salem.  Fee for this course is $185 Members / $215 Non-Members. See the course schedule online at Oregon Home Builders Association.

After completing this online training, you will receive a certificate that allows you to attend the hands-on training.
